Tardies

Students entering school after the 8:00 am bell must sign in at the office and obtain a tardy pass.  Tardies incurred during the remainder of the day will be marked by the teacher of the class in which the student was late.  If a student is absent more than twice in a week, they will be given a half hour of detention.  Detention will be held the following Friday after school.  If they miss detention, they will be given an hour for the following Friday. 

Students with excessive absences are jeopardizing their seat at GVHS.  After five tardies, a parent/student conference will be held.  If the student continues to defy attendance expectations, he/she will lose their seat at GVHS.
