Dear Panthers,

Welcome back to our returnees! For those of you who are new to GVHS, congratulations on your transfer to Green Valley High School! Our first day of school will be August 8. We will have a Community Cabinet New Student Orientation at Green Valley on August 7 at 6 p.m. We will have paper schedules for students, and some of our staff will be here to greet you. I will meet everyone in the MPR at 6 p.m.

Students and families should attend to get answers to any questions you may have concerning your enrollment at Green Valley. Again, we will have schedules for those in attendance. I will be explaining our program and answering any questions you may have. Additionally, here is a typical Google Slide presentation I review during this time.

Here are 10 useful pieces of information:

  1. We start at 9 a.m. M-Th dismissal is 2:36 p.m., and on Friday, it is 1:24 p.m. To be as clear as possible, there is no online component to our program, and daily attendance is required.

  2. The first day of school is a full day, and Friday is a minimum day. Link to District Calendars

  3. Wednesday, August 7 at 6 p.m. is the Community Cabinet and New Student Orientation. Come by to hear a little more about our school.

Ultimately, earning credits is a result of being here each day so that school work is submitted. It is a simple formula for success: Be here each day to submit your classwork and make the best use of your classroom time. You will see your progress towards graduation, and we will keep you informed of your quest to graduate. We look forward to seeing you at orientation and on your first day of classes.

Sincerely,

Frank Tucci

Principal
